Alison is a Senior Policy Analyst with a background in Sustainable Finance, Climate Finance and Sustainable Development. She has worked in the thematic areas of sustainable blue economy, governance and management of deforestation and human rights issues in supply chains, and ESG analysis of food systems. In her previous roles, she developed financing strategies and supported ground-level implementation of projects to adapt and mitigate climate change. Her focal areas were on scaling up renewable energy, climate-smart agriculture, sustainable water management, silviculture and uptake of environmental technologies for clients in national governments, international organisations, civil society, academia and public-private partnerships. She has technical training in ecology, water quality managements, soil carbon monitoring and biodiversity assessment. She is a Chevening Scholar Alumnus, with a Master's of Science in Environmental Technology at Imperial College (2016) her Bachelor of Science in Biology and Ecology (Hons.) at the University of Cape Town.
