Caroline leads global programmes at Forum for the Future, focused on accelerating the transition to a just and sustainable future. Forum’s programmes, straddling Europe, US, South Asia and APAC offices, catalyse system change to make food systems and value chains sustainable, and limit global heating within 1.5 degrees. A socio-economist by training, Caroline’s career has focused on innovation in international development. Her diverse professional roles have been around how we create a more inclusive and sustainable economic system, how change is accelerated, and what counts as genuine impact. In the last decade, she worked with a wide range of challenge funds, impact investors, corporates and social enterprises, developing inclusive and sustainable business models. At Oxfam GB, she led innovative programming to transform economic systems, focusing on women's economic empowerment, reform of agribusiness value chains and climate resilience. In previous roles, she lived in Tunisia and Namibia, worked with communities and governments, led policy research at the Overseas Development Institute, and grew her own consulting company focused on inclusive business models. Caroline is a member of the Expert Review Committee for the Financial Sector Benchmark of World Benchmarking Alliance, member of the Evaluation Committee of the Dutch development bank, FMO, Chair of the Editorial Committee for the Inclusive Business Hub, and has sat on a range of working groups and boards. She presents regularly at international conferences, has over 100 publications to her name aside from numerous blogs and webinars.
