Stephanie Chang is responsible for driving the integration of sustainability factors across the investment teams at Schroders and has successfully delivered on the firm’s goal of full integration across the firm’s managed assets in 2020. She continues to evolve the firm’s approach to ESG integration to ensure Schroders’ approach remains robust and market leading. She leads a team of 4 integration specialists who work closely with fund managers and analysts to identify efficient and value adding methods for integrating sustainability aspects into their investment processes. Stephanie is also responsible for the Schroders ESG Accreditation framework, a set of criteria and processes which ensures the right levels of controls and accountability are in place to provide the robustness required to support the firm’s ESG integration ambitions. Most recently, she has led the firm’s net zero commitments in alignment with the Science Based Targets Initiative and the Net Zero Asset Managers Initiative. Schroders is the largest asset manager by AUM to have its targets formally validated by the SBTi. Prior to this, she was a senior consultant at PwC’s Sustainability & Climate Change consulting practice focused on providing advisory and risk management services to financial sector clients. From 2004 to 2013, Stephanie worked at HSBC across the corporate banking and sustainability teams, including latterly as the deputy Global Head of Sustainability Risk.
