Arriving at the BDC
If you arrive by car, we have 8 dedicated parking spaces for blue badge holders in our on-site car park. There is a passenger lift to street level or the BDC forecourt, or you can take the 17-step pedestrian staircase.
The route from the car park to the building is well-lit and clearly marked. The surface is firm. There are two staircases between street level and the building. We have a ramp on the forecourt.
If someone is dropping you off in a vehicle, please contact our front of house team so we can give you access to the forecourt through our security point. Please call 0207 288 6475.
If you are coming by train, the nearest step-free station is Kings Cross and St Pancras International, which is easily reachable via bus or taxi.
Inside the BDC
All our reception desks are fitted with DDA-compliant registration points for people in wheelchairs.
All levels of the venue are accessible via passenger lifts, with low-reach buttons, braille, back mirrors and distress alarms. Every staircase in the BDC has handrails. All publicly-accessible areas of the venue are well-lit.
We are happy to accommodate people in wheelchairs in any of our conference spaces.
Wheelchair hire
We have a limited number of wheelchairs available for hire to BDC visitors. Please call our concierge team on 0207 288 6475 to book your wheelchair. Please bring proof of identification to confirm your booking.
Others
We have an accessible toilet on each level of the venue. Restrooms are accessible with a RADAR key (we keep a spare key in reception). Each toilet has low reach door handles and an emergency pull cord alarm.
You’ll find our accessible toilets at:
If you want to use the toilets but do not have a RADAR key, please speak to our concierge team when you arrive, or call 0207 288 6475.
In an emergency
In the unlikely event of a fire or other emergency, the fire alarms will activate. Our fire alarms give audio and visual signals to help visitors evacuate the building. The venue fire marshals will also assist you as you leave. There are two Evac chairs on-site to assist people in wheelchairs to reach the ground floor in the event of a fire.
There are emergency red phones on each floor of the venue, at the entrance to every stairwell, for visitors to contact reception in the event of an emergency.
If you require additional assistance in the event of an emergency, please let us know so we can support you with a personal evacuation plan.
